  1. Yeah, too bad we are not in the same program. Keep me posted on how your orientation goes. I am anxious about our orientation being so late. The thing I liked about Grayson is they got you acquanited with their program early so that you would feel more comfortable. Talk to you later! Melimayer
  2. Hi Dusty! I haven't heard of any other NCTC students or a thread. I am really excited and nervous about starting school though. It would be nice to hear from others in the program. Are you in the LVN program? I am in the ADN program and our orientation isn't until the 21st of August. Melimayer
  3. Thanks for all your advice. I am so anxious! I am pretty sure I am going to choose NCTC because of the smaller class size and their good reputation. I am not sure how to email you privately but will try to figure it out. Thanks again! Melimayer
  4. Thank you very much for your reply. NCTC does sound like a great school.
  5. I am so excited. I found out today I got accepted to NCTC. I really appreciate your post and was wondering if you could tell me how many people graduated with you that started the program. I know you mentioned "hazing" in your last post. Is there any way you can give me some idea as to what to expect? Thanks in advance. Melimayer
  6. Thanks for the encouragement!
  7. I am still waiting to hear from NCTC. Based on how I feel like I did on the entrance test for NCTC, I will probably be going to Grayson. It was a tough one. I do feel like either school will be good. That's why it is so hard to choose. Maybe I will see you at Grayson in August!
  8. I know what you mean about being scared. It seems like everyone talks about how difficult school is and nothing about the positive. It is a little unnerving! Congrats on your acceptance! The program at Grayson seems good. The staff also seems like they actually care. I am sure we will both be fine. Hang in there! Maybe I will see you in August.
  9. Wow! Thanks for all the information. I have heard nothing but good things about NCTC. It sounds like you were well prepared when you graduated. I took the DET last week and am waiting to hear if I got in or not. They said we would hear something by the 21st but I hope it is sooner. The wait is killing me! What makes the first semester so rough? Also, how many do you think dropped out of your class? Thanks again for the great reply! Melissa
  10. Congratulations! Sounds like things are falling into place for you. Good luck to you! Melissa
  11. Thanks for your post. Good luck to you also with the LVN program.
  12. Thanks for the advice. Which school are you attending?
  13. Thanks for getting back to me. Why do you think less than 50% graduated?
  14. Thanks for the great information. One of the things that I like about NCTC is the class size is smaller. Do you know how many students made it all the way to the boards that started? It concerns me that Grayson accepts 100+ students and, looking at the pass rates for the NCLEX, only 70-76 people made it. Maybe there are other reasons for this. Also, did you meet at your clinical site or did you have to go to class first in Gainsville? Thanks again for your time.
  15. Thanks for your reply! Did you have to go to class first and then go to your clinical site? Also, how were the clinical locations assigned. Thanks for your time.
