  1. applied in Nov; took allied health test in Jan (it was easy); got letter of acceptance in March.
  2. roxyemt: I started by applying to the school since I'm from out of state. Then, I attended their informational session. I don't know why they don't publish their schedule for this online, but you can pick it up at the Welcome Center. During the informational session, you'll have a chance to fill out a form to petition for Nursing as your major. After that, I submitted my transcripts. They will schedule you for the Allied Health Test (I scored the max, but was told later that I didn't have to take it since I already have a Bachelor's and that they will not count it). Finally, I just waited for the acceptance letter. You'll get a pamphlet during the informational session that will show you how they score you as an applicant. I hope this helps and good luck.
  3. Congrats, whitehat! I was checking the mail everyday too. I'm actually a career changer (not that I had much of a career, just several different jobs since college). I was taking prereqs while I was working, so I'm glad I only have to take 7-10 units per semester and be done in two years. I should be able to take it a little easy (I hope) and work at the same time as a PCA or something. I do plan to take an RN-BSN-MSN bridge at a university immediately after completing the ADN. It could take me 4 years or longer to get a BSN, but it's good to take things slow and enjoy life. This was another reason for going to CCP. I can't wait to finish all the required prereqs for other schools I was interested in. Plus, dw and I are planning to start a family soon.
  4. Well, I just got my acceptance letter today from Community College for Philadelphia (CCP). Yay! It was the only school I applied to, so I am happy to be offered admission. For those waiting on CCP, you may be getting your acceptance letter soon. :nuke:
