Hi I am new to L&D and was wondering about charting accelerations and variability any suggestions? Or any websites to go to regarding fetal monitoring?
  2. Hi just wondering how the transition is fron NICU to L&D? I am doing newborn nusrery now and am not liking it, we are keeping moms & babies that we should not be, to be in compliant with JCAHO, we are supposed to be a well nursery but we are delivering anything from 32wks and on and the peds doctors and ob hate to transfer, I feel like my license is on the line handling 6-7 well babies and a sick one on O2, IVF,IVAB they need to count those as 2 babies not as a "well baby". I want to go back to NICU, but all the NICU are approz 30 minutes away this is my home hospital so I want to try L&D. I worked in L&D as a nursing student on the delivery team and liked it. Do you think I can start out with a basic fetal monitoring class and then take a labor and delivery core class?
