Going to staff after a contract
My contract says nothing about me working for the hospital...I just wondered if most companied signed contracts with the hospital itself.

Going to staff after a contract
Does anyone know if most agencies have a contract with hospitals prohibiting hiring of travel nurses after their contracts are up? Eric

My HESI story.
I just took my Hesi exit exam today and was very relieved to have passed. We had to get an 850 to graduate. In reading the thread I think there is a little misunderstanding on what "percentage" it takes to pass. I'll use myself as an example. The test today consisted of 160 questions. I missed 39. This on a strict percentage is a 75.6%. My Hesi score was a 964 which is well above the 850 needed to pass. The Hesi score is a composite score and please realize that different questions are weighted differently so someone else who got a 75.6% might have a lower or higher score than me depending on the weighted difficulty of that test. Believe me I feel your pain. However, with hard work and study I think an 850 is doable. Eric

Clinical Hours
Hello all, trying to wade through and find the best fit for a FNP program. How many clinical hours on average(if there is such a thing) do you work a week? I want a program heavy on the clinical hours. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Eric

Teaching vs. Non-teaching hospital
I wanted some opinions on which kind of hospital would be better for a new grad to start out in the ICU. Teaching or non-teaching. Do you find you have more responsibility with no residents on site? Just wanting some thoughts. Thanks

Were you happy with your preperation?
Hello all. I am a nursing student hoping to go on to a NP program someday. My question is, were you happy with your clinical preperation in your particular program or did you feel overwelmed and under prepared when you graduated. I am trying to look into programs with the most amount of clinical experience. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks Eric
