My mom noticed a couple of weeks ago that she had two small lumps on her neck near her lymph nodes. I told her that she should go in to get it checked out just to be safe. Well, she went to the Dr today and he told her that it is probably just a cyst. He said that if it was cancer it would have had to come from somewhere else. If she had an open sore or something on her body he would be worried but she doesn't. Does this make sense to anyone? Can you please elaborate on this for me. I don't understand why he thinks that it would have to come from somewhere like an open sore? MandyLPN
