Can you obtain a license as an RN if you have a defaulted student loan? And does it matter if it's a private loan or a federal loan that's defaulted? Does it matter if it's a loan you took out for a prior degree vs. a loan you took out while pursuing your education as a nurse? Can anyone direct me to a source of information where I can obtain answers to these questions?

Any clinical research nurses or coordinators here? How do you like working in your field? I am currently a coordinator who doesn't have a clinical background. I am considering either getting an RN or becoming a speech language pathologist. I know, two totally different fields...but I figure with the RN I can stay in research or I could practice. The SLP career track appeals to me because of the nature of the job and it may a better personality fit. For the nurses working in clinical research: do you ever plan on going back to practicing? And how important do you think it would be for me to become an RN if I wanted to stay or increase my pay as a research coordinator? Right now I'm starting to feel a little stuck because I'm maxing out on pay/progress in the university setting I'm working in.

I am looking for a community college or other reputable facility to do CNA training and am available evenings/nights, weekends, and all day/night on Fridays. I mainly want to learn phlebotomy but may be considering going for an RN in the future and heard that taking the CNA route would be a tad more beneficial than simply phlebotomy training. Any recommendations??
