Nclex Pn Help!
I took the NCLEX-PN Board on September and passed...all from studying Lippincott's Review book. Honestly, I did not feel that the book helped, but I guess it did because I passed within the 1st try. Also, the reason why I studied from Lippincott's Review book was because a colleague who previously graduated before me, studied from this book and passed as well. GOOD LUCK!

anyone know about 30-unit option program?
Does anyone know about this 30-unit option program? I know its an LVN to RN program and can challenge the NCLEX-RN Board and you must have a current, valid California LVN license and have to take certain prereqs...With this program, I dont think you can get any degree and is only available in community colleges in California. If anyone know more info about this, please let me know. Thanks!

Low O2 sat
ok..well im working with a patient who is very lethargic, weak, and fatigue. his respirations are within normal range (18breaths/min), however the patient's O2 sat is 92%.. what im trying to figure out is a nursing dx for this patient, which i came up with "Self-care deficit r/t limited physical mobility as evidenced by lethargic, weaness, fatigue, low o2 sat, and altered mental status" does this sound ok? im trying to figure a nursing dx that relates with his low o2 sat as well as limited mobility. this is a patient who cant do much because of neurological conditions. should i just do a nursing dx "Failure to thrive" or stick to the one that i have which is the one about self-care deficit?

LVN Student needs advice pls and motivation!
Hi I am about to go into LVN on June 12 at a Vocational School, which cost lots of $$$. I of course asked about their passing rate in their NCLEX and was told that the "passing rate for the NCLEX, it is well over the standards required by the LVN board for California." Anyhow I know going to Vocational School is real expensive and some of you may ask "why dont you go to a Community College?" Well I've thought about that, but the thing is I dont want to go through the waiting list or wait period just to get into the LVN program. Basically, I want to be a nurse already! Is it worth paying $$$$ to be an LVN? Just for your info...I was in the RN program at a Community College and didnt make it. Majority of everyone in the RN program had hospital experience, there were people who were CNA for years, Medical Assistant, LVN, EMT, etc. As for me, I have NO experience at all, so I thought being an LVN would get me the experience to be the RN I've always wanted to be! Also, the prereqs for Nursing, such as Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I didnt do so well, I passed of course with a "C" in all these classes and I feel its not good enough. Does this mean I'm not going to do so well as a Nurse, especially since I didn't do so well in the RN program during the 1st semester? Will I fail in this LVN program?

Hi I have a question about being an LVN to RN
Can you be an LVN and take the Boards to become an RN? I heard you have to be an LVN for 5 years (I think) in order to do this...is this true?
