  1. Hi Guys! I'm staring a diploma in adult nursing in the UK and i'm just wondering about a few things... How do you specialise? At the moment i'm thinking i'll probably like Emergency but i realise i need to keep an open mind as i might find i like something else more.... I'm just curious if i have to do more training after the three years to specialise or if i do it during the degree..... If anyone can help i'll be really grateful, thanks! xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  2. Hi Everyone! I'm about to start my three year nursing diploma in the UK in september. Took me a while to figure out what i wanted to do with my life but i did it! I want to move over to Oz as soon as in can after i've qualified.... I know you guys have quite a severe shortage of nurses at the moment but to be honest i'm terrified this will ease and i won't be able to get in! Can anyone give me their opinions please? Also i'm weighing up visa options at the moment and i reckon it will be easier to be sponsored on a short term visa initially andf then apply for permanent after about 2 years but before i'm 29 'cos i get more points that way...... Can anyone tell me if any hospitals will consider employing me with about 6 months experience? I'm hoping to specialise in Emergency..... Thanks for this board its been really helpful! I've read most of the old posts and they've answered most of my questions except these two! If anyone can give me some advice or opinions i'd be really grateful. Thanks!
