Thanks for the reply Su. I gathered that Nursing Resources is a Home Health Service provider and a Health Care Training facility. His work will not be hospital based but I understand that it will be in SF bay area. They are offering $28 starting, $35 or more after adequate training with 2 years contract. Here in the Philippines, most nurses I know who already left for US were starting with $22-26, So I thought $28 is not bad. I really don't mind if the agency gets $5 dollars from the salary as long as they will do good with the papers, accomodation and will treat us nicely. It's a commercial world, we all have to pay for most of the things we get... (only the sea breeze, the bench in the park... and your opinion is free.. and sometimes even for that, we have to pay a certain price..) They also want to get all my husbands original credentials for assurance that he will not breech contract (he's a bit hesitant, his career life depends on those papers you know), they will return it just before embassy interview. (what dya think about that) By the way, Why did you say "...In a nursing home? I never, ever recommend those for a nurse coming from overseas, it is the fastest way to lose a license that so much time is invested in getting." What do you mean? Most nurses here think nursing home is a good starting area. Please elaborate. Thanks again Suzanne:) It's really nice knowing you. I will look forward to your post.
