If you are really interested in traveling to UK get in touch with the Nursing Midwifery Council in the UK and find out what their requirements for licensure are like. I have been working with them since May of 2005 and still do not have a decision on my English license. The Council just keeps demanding more information on my training and references. Good luck- I have family contacts in the UK and travel there every2 years for an extended period of time and would love the chance to return there to live.

I did my first contract at Rocky Mount ,NC . I am at the start of my second contract and it is in Hampton, Va. The hospital here seems nice so far. The area has a lot to see and do which is the main reason for coming here. Thank goodness basic nursing skills are the same where ever you go - just policies change.I am enjoying not having to deal with the politics of the hospitals. I am learning fast what to take and not take with me. You are right about there being shops where ever you go.
