Just got home from the NCLEX!!
Hello: Well I passed!! I can't believe it ~ I felt like each and every one of you when I walked out of the testing facility ~ but everyone in our class (7 so far) have taken the NCLEX, had it cut off at 85 questions, felt we hadn't done well on the test, and ended up passing! Good luck to you. It's so hard to wait those 48 hours ~ I just stayed busy, busy, busy. Diane

85 Questions
:balloons: Congrats to all that passed the NCLEX!! :balloons: I took the NCLEX today and left feeling like I failed! but the test shut off at 85 questions. I studied some everyday, received a high pass on the mock boards before we graduated, and had an A-B average the whole year. . . Everyone seems to feel the same when they leave the test . . . I guess we will just have to pray for good results!! Again, congulations to all the new licensed LPNs!!!! Hope to join you soon!! Di:icon_roll

Took the NCLEX PN Today!!!!
Hello: I took the NCLEX today also ~ it was really scary to come out of there not having a clue if you passed or not!! I only had one peds math calculation ~ no fill in the blanks ~ mostly "select all that apply" ~ I came home and found out about 6 questions on disorders that I missed ~ I just felt like I didn't know anything when I got out of there!! Well, will find out in 2 days. Hoping all of your pass!! I would hate to think of pretty much giving up a year of our lives and failing the state boards!! Good luck! Di

Hello: I am right there with you. I took my NCLEX today and it cut off at 85 questions ~ I really felt dumb taking this test! I only had 1 peds drug calculation question and 1 cultural question ~ most of mine were "choose all that apply" ~ a lot of the drugs I had never heard of!!! I am very nervous. Hoping we all passed!! New LPN ~ are aides allowed to pass meds?
I am a new LPN working in an upscale assisted living facility in Tennessee. Our administrator is an RN and has held a 6 hour class for several of our nursing aides to pass meds. They have begun passing meds on my 7 am to 7 pm shift. Am I responsible if they make an error??? Are they giving meds under my license or the RN Administrator??? This really makes me nervous. Thank you for any information.

TN tech center @ Nashville
I am graduating Dec. 19th from Tenn Tech LPN program in Nashville. I would advise you NOT to work ~ at least not the first semester. It is a very stressful, intense program ~ and a lot of students flunk out in the first trimester ~ some in the second trimester also ~ it is definitely not something you want to undertake lightly. You learn a huge amount of information each week and have to learn to critically think. The instructors don't hold your hand either. It's pretty much sink or swim. It requires easily 4-6 hours of study at night plus lots of reading on the weekend. You won't have a life for one year. Think about it seriously ~ it is a one year commitment. Not trying to scare you ~ but we have lost half of our class. They tell you this during orientation ~ but I don't think anyone really believed it would be this difficult. Just hoping to graduate in 7 more weeks. Hope this helps and good luck to you! paradisefound101

LPN Jobs for New Older Nurse?
I am a late 50s year old soon to be LPN and was wondering if anyone has any advice on the job market??? I live in Nashville, Tennesse. I don't have any nursing experience prior to entering LPN school ~ I was in finance. I am concerned now about being employed at my age even though I am a very active and healthy middle ager. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
