Living on previous savings from former military job, receiving small amount of service-connected disability pay, living with parents at the moment while going to school full-time, and using GI-bill. I'm might have to seek a financial aid loan if I transfer to a BSN school far from home, hopefully not an out of state one :roll

Twelve years ago I was about ready to transfer into a BSN program, had taken all the pre-reqs, but like an idiot changed my major to Business. Now I am kicking myself and want to try to get back into a RN program, thinking Fall 2007 as I already missed this year's deadlines for most four year schools. I received A's in all the pre-reqs so retaking them is not something I want to do. I have read some schools saying pre-reqs to be taken "within 10 years" and other schools just don't mention anything about a time limit. And to add some humor for you, the real kicker is I didn't realize I wanted to get my RN degree until recently. I just got out of the Army (infantry) and started this gi-bill to pay for a year of Paramedic training that I'm in right now, 11 months to go but will still have about $20,000 left of the gi-bill. I know I could always try to work as an ER Tech (with Paramedic cert) for the rest of my career but I really want to be an RN in an emergency department.
