  1. I agree, haven't heard many good things about Houston, but don't think we'll be seeing much of the outside between class and crazy clinical hours. But I was really impressed with Baylor's program, they were my first choice, wondering if it's even worth going to my other interviews... Also worth mentioning that with Baylor, all of the clinicals are right there, unlike some programs where you're driving over an hour or, worse, getting placed in another state...
  2. Well, it's still a small world! Congrats to you too, and have fun at work. Just think, a few more months of bedside nursing, and we're on our way to CRNA!!! Jamey
  3. I worked at Lovelace (Gibson) - ICU and CVICU, then moved downtown before Gibson closed. Just a guess, but I just told my roommate that someone else from ABQ got in, and he thinks he knows you. From the Heart Hospital...you may have precepted him. His name is Jeff K.?
  4. No way, I just moved from Albuquerque too!!! I'm from Michigan originally, but I've lived in ABQ for almost four years. Where did you work? I'm just finishing up a travel assignment in Northern Cali, not sure where I'm going next. I was in the Friday interview group, hasn't sunk in here yet either... I don't know Houston well at all, but I've been looking at apartments already. The Baylor website has some Houston links, but my favorite is rent.com. From my search so far, it looks like there are some cool loft conversions in the Medical Center area, and just south of downtown. Looks like an easy drive (or metro ride) to school. But I'm no Houston expert by any stretch, I'm up for advice too. Congrats!!!
  5. Hey, I can finally say it.... I'm in!!! Got the call yesterday from Baylor, start June 2008!!! Just thought I'd start a thread so our class can get to know each other... Congrats to everyone else who got the call!!! Jamey :w00t:
  6. If anyone has any more info on whether the didactic portion of a CRNA program counts toward renewing CCRN, please enlighten me! The last time I checked, the AACN website didn't seem to address this...
  7. I'm interviewing there early February too and would love some interview tips from previous applicants!!! Good Luck!
