  1. Has anyone every given a dec shot over 100 mg. All of the medication info I have read states not to exceed a 100 mg dose. However, one of our physicians ordered a 300 mg dose. This concerns me since the patient has not been compliant for months. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I was wondering if anyone can answer this question? Does your facility have a holiday expectation for week-end only staff? If they are expected to work holdiays not falling on a week-end, how many do they work a year? Thanks Ruth Ann
  3. I'm wondering what the policy at other facilities are regarding patient searches at time of admission. Seems the new unit I will be working on allows the patients to keep everythng (ie. belts, shoelaces, etc.) Makes me very nervous. Any info or journal articles supporting this will be appreciated.
  4. Just wondering what type of policies your facilities have in place related to staff assaults by patients. I don't mean assaults that take place in a psychotic state, but intentional acts of violence that leads to staff injuries. Any information would help. Thanks.
