Stay AWAY from TMCC. Most of the teachers are completely unhelpful. I am in the program now. I feel as if the teachers don't care about the students at all and, if you have any personal problems, the teachers disregard them. You cannot have ANY problems during school. People have had to miss funerals because the teachers won't let them miss class. There was a student a few years ago who had an emergency appendectomy on a clinical day and had to repeat the whole semester because of emergency surgery. Yes, TMCC has an excellent pass rate on the NCLEX, but the lowest graduation rate in the state. About 50% of the people who get into the program don't make it to graduation. My class started with 48. We now have a maximum of 30... Maybe less.
  2. Hello all. I am planning on applying for TMCCs fast-track nursing program soon. However, I have been hearing rumors about the drug-calculation test required of students. I have been told that you are given the test once per semster and you have to get 100% or they kick you out of the program. Any truth to this rumor? I have tried getting information from the nursing department, but they always tell me someone will call me regarding my question. This is getting very frustrating. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
