Hi knit1purl2, I was not on the wait list at mccd because i knew how long the eait list was . i took all of my pre reqs at CGCC however. So CAC was my first choice in a sense. There are 32 in our class. Are you applying soon or are you already on the list for mccd? good luck in your journey Nicole

valerie , DONT GIVE UP. youll get it. i would suggest the Hesi A2 study guide. you can get it on ebay. i used that alone and passed the first time. i struggle with a & p so that is what i maily studied. i took my hesi while i was in a& p 1 and did fine with just the guide...........good luck :)

valerie, the best advice i could give you is to not stress about it, when taking the reading, answer the questions just like you were speaking to someone...maybe even say the sentences out loud. im sure you will be fine.let us know how you did....GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Good luck with both tests. the HESI is simple, just general knowelfdge.im sure you will do well. Sherry and I took the hesi together and we paniced for weeks and once we were done we felt so stupid for worrying

yes she did great. she passed with flying colors . i am so proud of her, just REALLY wish she was goiong to be in block 1 with me this semster.......ah well i guess i can tell her what to expect. . I will be sure to let you know how it goes next week. are you going to be in lbock 1 int he spring also?

kguys, i am so confused. i just went on blackboard and my email( first, time ...just set it up) and i have an email saying i was dropped from nur126 because they have no record of pre reqs completed...... was there something special that i was supposed to do? going down there this morning to get it straightened out and get my books...... less than a week .... woo hoo!!!

joseph, thank you so much for all the information. i think we have all heard that block 1 is the worst but havng someone who has been through it say it really gives you a reality check. i dont know about everyone else but i got so wrapped up in the excitment that i almost forgot about the amount of work that will be starting for us all in a week. Hey christine, wow you are ahead of me . i havent got my shoes or a new stethoscope yet. i was thinking about waiting until after orientation. unless we have to have all of this stuff then. do we? i am unsure about the dansko shoes. how do you like them? i tried a pair on and wasnt sure how i would feel about them after being on my feet all day, they seemsed like they would start ot hurt. cant wait to see you all next week Nicole

i dont know much about it, but i was thinking the same thing, i called and got some information a while ago but it wasnt very helpful. i know they have a weekly tuition that i think can be part time of full time. i would try calling the main number and ask the operator to transfer to child care, i believe they can previde all the information that you would need. i need to do the same. let me know if you find anything out. see you next week

yeah i guess and she said that it really starts at nine but on test days it may be 8 or 830. im so confused. i would really like to know since its an hour drive from my house .....lol....

Ok ladies , heres the scoop: the schedule is MWR 830-330 and wednesdays are usually half days ending at noon. This also includes clinicals so there will be no other times we need to be there. Clinicals dont offically start in the hospital til after our 1st 8 weeks . so.....im relieved......see you all on the 14th . 2 weeks and counting

i am so confused. if it only three days i wonder if that just overs lecture and the other day they have on the schedule would be set for clinicals. i will give her a call tomorrow and see what i can find out. if we reallt do only have three days then i may consider keeping my job 2 days a week. Now that i think about it , someone there may have told me that it was three days when i met with her over a year ago when i was just getting information so maybe the schedule is wrong. i have no clue... ill let you know what i find out tomorrow...

I was told me those hours when i went and filled out the information. also, when i registered for the classes and even now if i look online at the week at a glance it has me scheduled the hours that i stated above. i hope the hours you found out are correct, that would be great! im just afraid that if i plan on only the three days then it will be all 4 and i wont be prepared. im in the same boat as you, my husband has to keep the kids after working graveyard and thats just bad for all parties involved.
