  1. Hey guys, I have another couple of q's. Ive been trying to do a little research to find out what the LPN program entrance exam consists of. I have come across two exams. The HESI and the NET, and im a bit confused and im trying to figure out which one im going to take prior to acceptance to an LPN program (American Career College to be specific) And finally, what does this exam consist of ? Is it pretty basic? Thanks so much in advanced!
  2. My girlfriend had a similar experience at Concorde in North Hollywood, CA They kept pushing the M.A. program on her. And when i called, they pushed it on me too!
  3. Thanks for all of your responses :) I initially thought that they're suggestions to attend that program might be money motivated, and it looks like I was right. Thanks for chiming in and comfirming my suspicisions. I am planning to go to visit the ACC campus in Los Angeles next Saturday (Dec. 13th) with my girlfriend. We plan on attending together:loveya: I"ll keep you guys posted.
  4. Hey everybody I just recently spoke with ACC and Concorde here in Los Angeles. And the admissions reps insist that taking a 20+week medical assisting course prior to the LVN prog is needed since i dont have any backround in the medical field. What do you guys think...im a pretty bright guy and I analyze and retiain new info pretty well. Did you find the course very difficult without any prior medical backround? Thanks so much for any help.
  5. Thanks for your input, that makes me feel good. So many discouraging people out there telling me not to go to a Cal State.
  6. Hello everyone, please dont kill me for posting this, I've searched high and low for the past week or so, and haven't dared to post without searching. However, i haven't really found much on my question. Okay here it goes: When applying to Anesthetist school, what will the admissions people look at? Will they really care what school I got my BSN from or just look at my grades and character? My reason is because i am in process of selecting the pre-requsites for my transfer school. My dream is to go to Cal State Fullerton then years after RN experience, become a CRNA through CSUF and Kaiser Permanente's program. My only concern is that maybe they would accept a student from USC, UCLA or another "better" school than a Cal State. Thanks for your help in advance, -Pete
