  1. Hi All, I'm neither a nurse, or a woman, but I want to buy some support hose and shoes for my girlfriend who is a nurse. I'm not to knowledgeable about support hose lol. Her birthday is coming up, and she asked for something practical...I'm not sure if women enjoy recieving such things for a present tho. I've done some searches, JOBST brand seems popular. However im not to sure which model to get. I was thinking of getting the OPAQUE line, and getting the knee high, and panty hose models. (I'm so out of my comfort zone discussing these things!) On sizing, I think she is a S, she is 5'1", 125lbs. she is about 30" waist... i dont think i could measure her ankle and thighs without some funny looks lol. For shoes, I was thinking of birkenstock tokyo leather medical clogs. (I cook for a living and think birkenstocks are necesary equipment for 12-16hr days!) although i've noticed alot of ranging opinions on shoe brands here... Does anyone have any suggestions/adivce regarding the above two items? Even the obvious would probably be news to me. thank you! kotaro
  2. I happen to have these shoes. I tried them on at the shoe store before ordering them online. I ended up buying a shoe 2 sizes smaller than my nike's. Im not sure if they are supposed to run super big... I know others who stuff them with insoles.
