Its a big world and USA is a huge country. It has always been a land of immigrants if you read your American History. Lighten up folks--foreign nurses come in the US legally and have gone through the screening process and some take years to do so. Are they taking over the jobs?...well, they wouldn't be hired in the first place if there weren't any shortages or vacancies. Rest assured there is a 2 month job posting in the local area PRIOR TO HIRING a foreign nurse for every position. And they don't come cheap--fees have to be paid to agencies, lawyers, immigration authorities--hiring locally would be cheaper and more convenient for hospitals but there's just not enough nurses.
