  1. A friend of my who is already a nurse gave me a chest piece for a Littman Classic II SEC. I was looking around to see how much binaurals and they are pretty expensive. The cheapest being around 33 bucks, almost just as expensive as a brand new stethoscope. The chest piece looks good but I am not sure if there is anything wrong with it? Is there a way that I would be able to check it before investing in the binaurals? What do you recommend I do? Thanks for any suggestions.
  2. Actually I am a mental health worker that works with the patients and conduct group meetings so I am basically a counselor without a masters.
  3. Hello all, I recently decided to go into nursing and have thought long and hard about my decision. I graduated in 2004 from Bethany College in WV with a B.A. in psychology and minor in Communications. I currently work at a local hospital in the Psychiatric Unit as a Counselor. I recently talked to an academic counselor at my local community college and discussed the basic and what I need to do in order to get accepted. Since I already have a B.A. I was told that I need to take the NLN entrance exam to be accepted into the program. From what I understand, you can only take the exam once every six months? I was told that the it covers the basic in reading, math, and science, I am really rusty in the math section and need some brushing up in the other areas. Since I only have one shot at this comming up this December or January, I have already began to worry:o. I was going to look at some books or test prep material to assure me I will be ok. Is there any advice that anyone can lend, and maybe some good test prep material. I am looking to gain any edge I can get in excelling in my new profession!
