it makes me so happy when someone gets into CRNA school. i almost cry everytime- knowing that all the work in going through now does pay off. i want to be one so badly..................

i see no reason not to aspirate. its another precaution that we can use to decrease any additional problems for our patients. and it only takes 1 second at most. you can so how many thousand times youve given an injection and not enter the vein- use that as your arguement. but you dont know for sure unless you aspirate. its not going to do any additional harm (unless poor techinque is used).

i want to become a CRNA. im confident that i can handle the coursework, but some of my fellow nursing students have scared me by telling me its extremely hard. i was wondering if you could recommend a textbook (one that your required to buy) that gives a good sense of how the coursework is.

were about to take the med/surg test on monday. our school just implemented the program this semester. it should be intresting.
