Hi! thanks for your help! Its Paramedicine or Nursing. Unfortnatly theres little related vocational Paramedicine jobs (apart from St johns but I was looking for something more practical) So thats why I was considering Healthcare assitants, as it provides a medical expirience which would help me get onto either of the courses, with the hours and constant care required. It would also (hopefully) be a great expirience. Thanks for your time!
  2. Just a quick question, would any here recommend applying to be a Healthcare Assistant during my gap year? I want to get into the NHS, and I was told that practical expirience in a Hospital would be a great benifit. On the other hand it would be good to know if its a bearable job to do for a year. Thanks!

Hi, just a quick question to any UK NHS workers (if there are any here, I couldnt find an active UK nursing board) I want to enter into the health service, but I thought it would help my application if I had already spent time in a hospital environment during my gap year, and was considering applying to be a Healthcare assistant for the year. I was just wondering what the real job is like, I mean I know what the job entails, but only to the extent which the NHS job descprition describes, but somehow im guessing this wont be 100% truthful, as they want us to join up, so they wont say all the bad stuff. Thanks!
