I have been a PN Educator since 1993 and the Program Director since 2003. We use Scantron Sheets for testing. We subtract 5 points from a student's grade if the form (name, id number, etc.) is not filled out correctly. The students are informed this at the beginning of each semester when we go over the syllabi. On one test this year, it meant the differece between passing and failing for a student. I assure you that the student never made that mistake again.

I have been a Practical Nursing Educator in a Community College in North Carolina since 1993 and the Lead Instructor/Program Director since 2003. In January, I began a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education. It has been a challenge since I work full-time as Program Director, Theory Instructor and Clinical Instructor for a PN Program with an annual enrollment of 30. With all the changes being made in the educational standards, I wanted to join a forum where ideas can be exchanged and I stumbled upon this one. Hope to develop a network of colleagues for information and the sharing of ideas as we educate nurses to practice in the 21st century.
