  1. I am a RN and old RM. I do consulting for pregnant expats and internationals in the Eindhoven area of the Netherlands. these ladies get a 2 hour session where I explain all the ins and outs of having a baby in the netherlands. since this year I am also doing menopause consulting after having done a special training as a RN. if you look on the www.careforwomen.nl site and click on the brtitish flag top right, you can read the English version! My heart once again will be for the expats/internationals going through the menopause here but for financial reasons i cannot do only them. I now have to help the local ladies too!! it's great to do and i love what I do. sometimes lonely being the only 'outsider' but now I have all of you to chat with!!!!!
  2. UKRNinUSA: sorry, it's not that I don't want to consult with you, and I still will if you like but I think it better to do it in person...... my private mail is in case you want to chat more [email protected] my name is Denise
  3. MPractitioner Credentialing Progam Info - NAMS here you can find a list of all menopause practitioners in the US
  4. thanks, I needed a kick in the butt!! I know I made the right decision. flu is getting better and so my thinking is improving! sorry for the sad face and thanks for the support. sometimes it's lonely being english speaking and practicing in another language....
  5. hehe. well, I Know I would hate to give them the flu i have but it's just before xmas and they need help too. how many of you have gone to work with fevers????
  6. I really would love to chat!!!
  7. I have my own practice at home as a menopause consultant. I have had really bad flu and had to re-schedule 2 appointments and now i feel guilty! I have never had to do this before!
  8. Hi there Siri, you also a menopause nurse? are there any more? is NAMS the only place to the speciality in the US? I am originally from South Africa. I did a 4 year nursing college diploma affiliated to the university. then you are a registered nurse (general, psychiatry and community health) and midwife. after I arrived in Holland, I converted it into a bacchelors degree in a special adapted for me course! then I went into geriatrics. then I was a stay at home mom. then I started my own nurse consultancy to help the pregnant expats/internationals have their babies in Holland and now I am going to start my own nurse practice for ladies in the menopause after completing the "care for women" speciality. I will continue to do the preggy's but only on the side line. we don't have a family planning course here. any one know of a long distance one? I may be doing the 'health care consultancy' too. but first get my practice up and running.
  9. Hi there all from the Netherlands! I am due to start my own nursing practice in July as a menopause consultant and would love to chat with others doing the same. I will start by helping the expatriates/international ladies going through the menopause in a foreign country. any tips, advice most welcome! Later I will also be doing the locals as I will be part of a franchise and will also get referrals from a national telephone number.
