Quick update for anyone waiting on NYU. I applied April 1st, got the questionnaire about two weeks later, interviewed the day after graduation at the end of May, and then entered the waiting game. I followed up when my recruiter told me to, and even after 10 weeks I was told positions were still filling slowly and September was probably the target. Then August 3rd, I got the call. Happy to say I accepted the offer and will be starting my fellowship in the Surgical ICU at NYU in September. Moral of the story: apparently NYU operates on its own calendar. 😂 Stay patient, stay in touch with your recruiter, and don't count yourself out just because it's taking longer than expected. I couldn't be happier with how it worked out!
