  1. Oh yea, that would be super hard! When I was considering City of Hope, it was the same thing for me. They told us it would probably be nights, but they don't officially make a decision until 10 weeks in. I hope you get the chance! Or at least a clear pathway to move over. Oh! I didn't know about that. That would be great! Oh myyyy, I would absolutely love that! I don't find scrub tops particularly comfy, I'd. love to be able to wear the fun tshirts :) I think it would be a great way to get to know each other. I'm down!
  2. Congrats! I also signed my offer letter Friday and spent the last few days setting up my oracle account and doing the preboarding stuff :) So exciting! They haven't reached out about the onboarding appointment yet, was it pretty chill? The also didn't tell us on hem/onc whether we'd be starting days or nights. They said it would take 10 weeks of orientation before we were officially assigned one or the other. So interesting how they differ from unit to unit. A nurse resident on my floor said during the interview that the CH lets you wear whatever colors you want. I've been holding back on buying a new pair of colorful scrubs though until we get the official go ahead! I haven't seen the handbook, yet, so I'm not sure about the jewelry or anything.
  3. That's what I expected, but they never really asked me if I wanted the job or not so I just assumed they'd have to have some paper commitment. Peds hem/onc is my dream job, though, and when they called I told them how excited I was so maybe my yes was implied, haha. I went to school in OC, so I definitely get the pay difference!
  4. I received an offer from hem/onc ICU on the 2nd! So exciting! I know that the starting pay is $44.12 then bumping up to $52-something after the first year according to the hiring manager of my floor, I'm not sure about the differentials. I've heard that the 3-year commitment is implied, but not a signed contract, just a verbal understanding, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Have you received an offer letter yet? I haven't heard of anyone getting anything from our cohort yet, I'm assuming they start sending them out on the 20th when human resource management hiring phase begins. It's just making me nervous after spending so long applying that they told me they wanted me then nothing :(
