  1. Hi everyone! I'm a soon to be new grad in the Western NY area. Interviewing for a Family Medicine position and was just wondering if the contract they mentioned was good or where it could improve? Syracuse, NY: $105,000 base salary, $5k relocation bonus and $5k sign on bonus with 1 year commitment, to be paid back depending on length of time in position (ie if I left at 6 months, I'd have to pay back $2500). $20/RVU over 4,000 bonus, $2500 and 40 hours CME, $2500 expenses, 210 hours PTO with 6 paid holidays and an 8 hour float holiday. 35 hours per week patient facing with 5 hours of admin time. M-F 8-4:30, occasionally 10-6:30 every couple of months and 1 Saturday every 1-2 months from 8-12:30. 15 minute slots for follow up/acute, 45 min if translation needed, 30 minute new patient/physical. Ramp up from 1 hour visits to start with and pay increase to $115K base at 1 year, $125k base at 2 years. Build my own panel and also see MD patients as needed, assigned RN/LPN/or MA for rooming, 2 if warranted due to busy schedule. On-site support and a full orientation including meeting specialists with Family Medicine residents. Added info I forgot to mention: I am an academic nurse educator right now but have 5+ years of primary care experience as an RN and am seeing patients relatively independently every 15-20 minutes at clinical with preceptor oversight.
