  1. I keep my cover letters to one page (so generally 3-4 paragraphs total), but I made sure not to make the paragraphs too wordy. I talked about my experience as a CNA and my student experience at UCI, but specified to the unit I applied.
  2. I did not, completely ghosted and only found out because my application status was finally updated to "Did Not Move Forward" I did not I just got a call today for an ortho interview, but hopefully you hear back too!
  3. Yep, it really doesn't mean too much. I remember for Spring, all of my applications eventually got to that stage, but it stayed in that category for weeks.
  4. I have "HR or Manager Review" for CCICU, Surgical Step Down, Neuro Step Down, and Ortho, but everything else is still under "Received Submission"
  5. Just a heads up that UCI is reaaaally bad about the wait time for applications (they also do not email you if you were rejected). I'd keep a close eye, but being under HR or Manager Review means very little, having applied this past Spring.
  6. Same question for anyone with Surgical ICU?
  7. I also received the email a few days ago.
  8. From what some of my other nursing friends have told me, Loma Linda generally takes a reaaaally long time with each step of the process, so we might just be stuck waiting again for a while ://
  9. I also just checked my application page, and I have the same thing for their surgical ICU
  10. I didn't, but mostly because I didn't see an option to do so.
  11. Ahh I see, that makes a lot more sense. Yeah, they don't make it clear on their applications or on their new graduate program information page either. I feel like general rule of thumb is that you just need to make sure you're graduated before the start date? But not sure if UCI is more strict on that. Ahh I see, that makes a lot more sense. 12. Starting a thread for PIH Downey, good luck everyone :))
  13. I haven't heard anything, but they did say that it would possibly be another couple weeks or so.
  14. With how UCI is, you probably need to already have your license to apply. It is also listed as a requirement on their job applications as well, whereas some hospitals will give you a date that you have to have your license.
  15. I'd recommend that everyone apply for these positions soon, especially since they opened up yesterday! Depending on how many applicants they get, the window to submit something is very narrow.
  16. They're finishing up interviews with internals/people who were referred, and they'll be moving onto purely external applicants within the next couple weeks. Not sure how many spots they'll have left in the cohort, since a friend told me there were a lot of referrals for this round specifically, but hopefully some of us will get a chance to interview.
  17. I got my email for the questionnaire on the 15th, timeline wise that means they'll send out invitations for interviews within the next few weeks?
