  1. Chantelle, I have been accepted to Simmons for DE, but like you, my letter did not contain any info regarding financial aid. All my other letters included info about FIn. Aid, and also medical forms, which my simmons letter did not have. Perhaps this comes later? The deadline for replying Simmons is much later (Which is funny, since it starts earlier....) so perhaps another letter is in the works? I spoke with a woman in the Nursing Dept today about a lot of stuff, but didn't bring up Fin Aid with her, other than the overall cost of the program. (~790/credit). She also mentioned that all students are required to purchase a PDA. I figured she wouldn't be able to answer any questions about specific packages, but then I got busy at work and didn't have a chance to call the Fin Aid office.... I did find out a few specifics regarding classes (When they start, what days the summer course meets on/what time). I also asked if I could sit in on a class or speak with a prof. in the near future, to which both answers are yes. I am planning to go on the 13th of March, (I guess they are only in class on Mondays) and hopefully have a better idea if Simmons or MGH is right for me. Sorry, long response to your post, and unfortunatley not really addressing your original question! Have a good afternoon!
  2. Hey guys, I too am trying to make the MGH/Simmons decision.... I don't have quite the same issue, as I was not offered any merit scholarships (I guess I am just thankful I got in at this point...I was starting to have a lot of doubts...) I also got into Regis as well, but I think my real choice boils down to MGH or Simmons.... Is there anyone else on this board who faced these decisions last year at this time, or is there anyone out there who is in either of these programs now, that can offer some sort of advice? Both Simmons and MGH seem like such great programs. I am not sure how to differentiate other than cost. Thanks!!! :)
  3. Krissy: MGH = Mass. General Hospital Institute of Health Prof.
  4. Angie-o-Plasty (and others who have heard from MGH): I am a long time lurker, new to posting on this site.... I am waiting (read: checking the mail every 5 minutes) to hear from MGH. I was accpeted into the program at Regis a few weeks ago and while I am very relieved to have an acceptance under my belt, I really like MGH's program, specifically the Women's Health Option. At Regis they do not offer the WHNP option, only Family, CHild or Psych.) When did you hear, and if you don't mind me asking, what other schools did you apply to (if any)? Thanks and have a great night. COngrats on your accpetance at MGH!!!
  5. I was recently accepted into the Direct Entry NP program for this coming Fall. I am very excited and would love to chat with anyone else who is in the program now, or entering in the fall of '06.
