  1. The Averett ABSN program was a scam. The program is understaffed, disorganized, and the professors do not provide support to students. Read the student manual carefully. A student can be "exited" from the program for failure to pass 1 assessment. There are no opportunities for remediation. Averett will collect tuition and simply "exit" students from the program, expecting them to reapply and start over. This was a very costly mistake. Choose a reputable college with years of experience and adequate staffing, which is NOT what the Averett ABSN program offers.
  2. The Averett ABSN program is a complete scam. My experience was the same as described above. I was "exited" after 6 weeks for not passing one skills check! I had paid $19000 in tuition and the program wanted me to reapply and start all over again instead of providing any type of remediation or support. I had A's and B's in all my classes at the time. The program is truly a money grab. They are understaffed and do not provide adequate training. It was an awful experience. Stick with a program that has a great reputation and many years of experience! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THE ABSN PROGRAM AT AVERETT!
