Hello all! I am a nurse manager in Springfield MO. Our hospital has a stated policy of reimbursing staff up to $1000 to attend any type of education, including meetings, that pertains to their job. However, it isn't really practiced. I am wondering what other hospitals in the state of MO do? There are so many great educational opportunities out there, it seems a waste to limit staff to only what is offered in-house. Your thoughts, please.

My hospital is undergoing big changes in Sedation policy that adversely affect the Radiology Department. I am looking for some info from other hospitals: WHO does your procedural sedation (RN/MD/Anesth); is the Radiolgist credentialled in ACLS (not as common as you'd think); what are your H&P requirements?
