In my current role this isn't a huge issue however it is something we have ran into here and there. We utilize the language line for interpreter services and in the few times I have had to use it, it usually works well. I would say its likely inconvenient if having to use it daily or multiple times per day.
Current hospice Nurse here! At my organization we do not touch the patient until we have consent signed. We can discuss pt history and do any assessment possible without touching, but must get consent signed prior to anything hands on. At times we get consent and find the pt was not appropriate and do not admit.
