  1. hey everyone, check your emails. My provision got lifted today!
  2. Multicriteria point system* she also mentioned that the nursing department will be looking at for any repeat or any inconsistent classes, so make sure what you listed the point system is accurate
  3. Hey everyone! Just had my advising appointment with Marilyn at Grossmont and wanted to share some tips: For those of you who have a bachelor's degree, I'd recommend booking the 30-minute appointment instead of the hour. Mine was only about 19 minutes. She basically goes over the classes you'll be taking in the fall and Spring semesters. It's a total of 7 classes across the two-year program. A few things she mentioned: • The first semester is typically the most rigorous, and she recommends not working during the program. If you do need to work, she suggests keeping it to weekends only. • Make sure you call ahead to verify that all your transcripts are on file before your appointment because she's going to ask. If you confirm they are, she'll submit a transcript evaluation to determine which classes may be waived for your graduation requirements. This is separate from what the nursing department reviews. • She does NOT have access to your transcripts to verify what you listed on your multicriteria pointless, the nursing department handles that separately. • As for our provisional status being lifted, she said we should hear back later this month or early May. ? Hope this helps!
  4. I have mine today as well!
  5. Hey everyone, I recently got accepted to Grossmont's nursing program, and I have a couple of questions, just like many of you probably did when you were accepted. 1. When booking an appointment with a counselor after acceptance, do they mainly go over your classes in general, or do they review what you submitted on your point sheet? Do they also recommend future classes, even for those of us who already have a bachelor's degree? 2. Do you have any advice on what materials to use to get a head start in the program? Would LevelUpRN, Nurse Mike, or RegisteredNurseRN be helpful? 3. Lastly, what is the program like, and how has your experience been so far?
  6. For math, I would use Brandon craft. I got a 100% on it. Science, I would use future RN (anatomy and physiology) and TEAS with Tyler Dewitt (Biology and Chemistry) they helped get a 90% for English and reading, I would use future RN and mometrix. I might get some hate for this, but I don't recommend using Nurse Chueng.... her explanations are way too easy, and the exam goes more in depth than that.
  7. Kevin, are you still waiting to hear back? Good luck! Can't wait to join you guys in class.
  8. you'll be fine. I got in with 92 to 93 points.
  9. Should we make a separate group chat once we find out who's accepted?
  10. I got mine yesterday at 4:18 PM
  11. Maybe at the end of this month? Depends how many applications the school received. I'm in the same boat - 92-93 points.
  12. Hey everyone, I also submitted my application today. Currently at 92–93 points with a 4.0 science GPA, 3.8 GPA, and a 92% TEAS score. Wishing everyone the best.
