My RN license was revoked by default for failure to correspond to an accusation. Shortly after I moved, my dad suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke and it was the furthest from my mind to update my address. Once I found out my license was revoked, it was a week after it was final and too late to have the board reconsider the decision.
The merrit of the accusation didn't cause any patient harm or nothing major. I'm sure if I knew about the accusation and was able to fight it, this would've never resulted in a revocation. I lost everything after that and just been beating myself up daily, but trying to give myself grace because it was a honest mistake and I was dealing with a life event at the time. Any advice going forward? I've applied to Oregon State board of nursing and disclosed my disciple with them. The investigator called me and we spoke for an hour. He will put it in front of the board and see what they want to do.
