San Francisco State University (SFSU) BSN - Fall 2026
Heyy!! I was actually wondering the same thing, so it's reassuring to see someone else even bring it up 😭 I haven't received any follow-up information since submitting my acceptance form either! From what I remember, they mentioned that classes would be reserved for us, so I'm assuming we'll receive more details closer to orientation, but the silence is definitely nerve wracking.... I actually just reached out to the School of Nursing to confirm that my acceptance form was received and that everything is complete on my end, just for peace of mind. I'll update here if I hear anything back! As for transcripts, I'm planning to send my final official ones once my grades are posted, unless they give more specific instructions but I'm assuming that's all they want for transcripts

Yes I am local and first gen and the local preference is what gets us priority !! which you can also get from I think being a student already or veteran status but I could be wrong I did see that on the website about April too, but historically they've released earlier so I just don't know what to expect ? !! At this point it honestly feels like it could come any day ? just trying to stay patient.

I agree with you! it's honestly exhausting having to constantly learn through forums, other applicants, and past cycles what actually matters. But I think you're in a really strong place, especially making it past the initial waves of rejections. And you were really close to maxing out TEAS points too. I also feel like East Bay will value your experience as a phlebotomist, especially with 5 years of experience ? I couldn't even apply to Sac State this cycle because their system is so heavily numbers based. they factor in GPA and TEAS down to the decimal, which is kind of crazy considering it's just one test? but I definitely think programs like East Bay are trying to value more than just numbers and are looking at people's experiences and perspective too.

it's a new day ! I also really hope that we all hear back at the same time. It would be even worse if they were sending out rejections and waitlists randomly so at least we're in this together LOL. I have a feeling that they put a lot of emphasis on the personal statements. I feel like so many applicants for CSU East Bay max out the TEAS and GPA points since you get max points for 80 and then a 3.6. I think they do this so that they can utilize your healthcare experience and personal statement to have much more weight...as they are the REAL differentiators. I feel like that's a good thing in a program with a 5% acceptance rate because it means that they want to learn about us as people rather than our ability to get high marks. They know a good cohort of nurses isn't a bunch of 4.0 95 TEAS robots.???

Hey !! I haven't seen any responses either. I'm constantly checking my email and everyday it's nothing ? I'm in the same boat cus my east bay portal is also showing that my app is under departmental review. I don't know what else we can do besides stalk our emails east bay portal unfortunately.... I think at this point in the process that they've selected applicants with the highest points overall and are either actively scoring personal statements and/or have already done so. I wouldn't be surprised if we get our emails any day now. I read a thread of a previous fall cohort and they heard back on a Sunday so any day can be the day yall!

I applied to CSU east bay as well!! Your stats are honestly strong, so try not to be too hard on yourself ? These programs get so many qualified applicants that it can come down to small things we can't control :,) I applied with a 4.0 science, 3.9 cum and 85.3 TEAS (first and only attempt) over 1200 paid CNA hours across SNF and hospital 300 volunteer hours combined across two hospitals departments and Red Cross BDA Local / Bilingual I also did my pre reqs all at SFSU with nutrition and sociology equivalent completed so hopefully that helps!! hoping we both get good news soon !! this wait is worse than applying ??
