  1. just a heads up for anyone who wanted to get a head start on applications... I did that last year and UNBC ended up changing the application form. I unknowingly submitted the previous year's form as I pulled it off the webpage before July 15. They let me resubmit but I had to redo the form. I noticed it has changed again this year. So take a look at the date on the bottom of your form before you submit it. I think I will just be applying to TRU and UBC this year. I have no rural experience and don't want to go through the stress of applying to UNBC again when my chances are so slim. It seems like UVIC tends to choose applicants that are in the 5-8 year range for RN experience and I am beyond double that range. Trying to just focus on the schools where I might have the most success this year. Good luck everyone!
  2. ya, I had also already asked myself all of those questions as I made my application. I'm not sure if I will reapply to UNBC next year. I don't think I have the experience that they are wanting. Maybe UBC and UVIC.
  3. did you hear back from UNBC? I emailed as well but just got a generic email back reiterating what they are looking for and questions to ask myself about how my application meets their requirements.
  4. Does anyone know if UNBC ever accepts applicants who have no rural experience? I live in the Lower Mainland and have no rural experience and no ability to get rural experience as I have school age children. I'm trying to decide if it's worth applying again next year or if UBC is my only hope. Or maybe trying UVIC next year?
  5. Hailey are you able to transfer credit for any of the MScN courses that you've done so far?
  6. did TRU open a fall intake?
  7. I just got my rejection letter from UBC ?
  8. Mine is still in progress as well. The only thing I'm clinging to is that it looks like they sent out acceptance letters over the course of 3 or 4 days last year. I received my rejection from UNBC at 2300 yesterday, so I feel like the process must be automated?
  9. Congratulations on multiple offers! Do you know which school you'll choose?
  10. Did you work in those clinics with VCH? I'd like to expand to some outpatient or primary care work if I don't get into UBC. Trying to figure out what my options are. I've been in pediatrics for ~15 years.
  11. have you heard back from the school about your seat?
  12. I'm so sorry. It really is so defeating.
  13. I just got my rejection letter from UNBC. Devastated.
  14. Whhhyyyyy hasn't unbc updated everyone's dashboards? This is torture. Keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us!
  15. Someone said earlier in this forum that UBC was hoping to let everyone know by end of Feb. Desperately hoping we hear from them by the end of next week. I'm feeling gutted.
