Jobs while in monitoring?
@Nursrcy00901 How were you able to do your random drug screens on work days? I am enrolled in TNPAP but haven't signed a monitoring agreement yet and I am so stressed about how that will work. I did not divert or come to work Impaired. Someone said I looked "pale, fidgety, sweaty, and hard to find" and I was taken for a drug test and I admitted I had been taking suboxone without a prescription. I have a valid script now but ofc I got fired and now I wait for what the evaluators recommendation is. She did say from her end she could tell I was highly motivated to stay sober and didn't think I needed any inpatient and was fine with me staying at my OBOT. Im worried about IOP (she didn't say she would make me go but that seems to be a pretty common theme) as I will lose my insurance at the end of the month and I have 0 savings. I have been sober a year and I'm very proud of that and I know I'll have to prove myself trustworthy but I am so stressed about how I will be able to go to random UA's if I have a hospital job. I live in a small town and the closest place for me to go would be a hour and a half either way. Any advice from anyone would be helpful... I know I did wrong but I also wanted to live and I heard how costly TNPAP was but I'm in it now so I'm buckling in and trying to figure out how I'm going to do this. If anyone can give me an idea of how the process goes I would appreciate it!

Is there anyone in a monitoring program with Ga BON?
@PaddedCellLPN A hair test is fine totally fine they can test me anyway they like. I have been sober a year from opiates but I was afraid to reach out and get help so I got suboxone from family. I know that's not right or okay, and I have a legit script now. But I'm extremely concerned about IOP cost if they want me to do that. I have no savings and I doubt my job will keep me. Even if they wanted to, from what I'm seeing TNPAP won't allow me to work potentially. I'm willing to do anything that's needed but money is a huge factor. I'll test every day if they wanted me to.

How long do they usually keep people out of work? I am in TN and I applied for TNPAP. I now have a suboxone prescription from a a past issue but I got drug tested at work last Wednesday and I did not have a prescription at the time. I went the next day and got one. I have an evaluation in 2 days with an addiction medicine specialist and from my understanding she will give the recommendations but I don't know if they will make me stay out of work? I'm hoping they will let me go back to work and I can do whatever they need me to outpatient but it's going to be near impossible to do IOP or anything else god forbid they want me to do inpatient (I really don't think they will have me do that because I did not divert and I have been sober a year) but I'm worried they won't let me work/if I get fired from my job I don't know how I'll afford it. I'm terrified.
