Wow, 4.0 GPA overall is quite impressive!! I had about 70 to 75 points for my application, so you're not too far off and I believe you have a really good chance of either being fully accepted or at least an alternate student!
I know most people would like to start right away, but at least as an alternate student you are guaranteed a spot for the following semester. Regardless, your stats are pretty good and you should be very proud of yourself!
Yes, it was my first time applying. I applied to two schools and got rejected from another school and welp got accepted to Moorpark as an alternate. I did have to go through all the orientations and do all the paperwork as if I got fully accepted, which kind of sucked because I didn't get in for Spring and have to redo everything for Fall. But, the people I have met so far are all super nice and welcoming. They explained how their program is ran and honestly didn't seem as scary as I've read from posts on Reddit.
Me personally, I have found all the paperwork and everything they require you to get done pretty easy to follow.
I did reach out to them a few days ago and they mentioned that they will be making calls starting next week.
Good luck!!
