I got accepted on the standby list today to my first school of choice so I'm gonna be declining my seat here, so hopefully one of you guys on the waiting list will get an opportunity this semester

The last semester schedules for the first 8 weeks before transitioning to clinicals was Tuesday/Thursday: Lab 8am -2pm Wednesday: Theory 9am- 1pm Friday: pharmacology 9-?? iffy on the ending times for theory and lab but it was more or less around that time.

(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS), from the the Nursing department, said we should hear back by the end of the month so I'm guessing next week ?‍♂️

I finally got an update just now, I was placed on the standby list

Hopefully some news comes in today cause I still haven't received any update on my application

For the people who got accepted, are you guys hoping to get in elsewhere ideally or is this your first choice ?

Yeah MiraCosta operates on a lottery system so essentially you have the same odds to get in with a 76 point application as the next applicant with a 96 point application. Last year I received my rejection letter on 10/10 so hopefully we'll be hearing back soon

From what I've seen in the past usually if you haven't heard yet, since others have heard that means you're still in the running. We have until the 10th to accept or decline our seats so maybe if someone declines you could hear back based on that.

I got accepted with around 92-94 point the one thing I thought would hold me back was the B I got in Microbiology but all other classes were A's 95.7 on TEAS and CNA license

What other schools did you guys apply for ? I just got my acceptance letter from grossmont, hoping to get into Palomar or MiraCosta though but grateful I have a back up option

If people decline their seat by the deadline they'll send out more acceptance or denial letters

I heard back from grossmont as nursing department on 10/1 with an acceptance letter. Definitely start checking your email for a letter soon if you haven't received one already. Not sure if I'll be accepting yet depending on if I get accepted elsewhere but I have until the 10th to decide
