  1. Hi @valehnursing I was waitlisted for SMU ABSN for the Summer at the Oakland campus, and offered a seat to the Fresno campus, but with a change in personal circumstances and having to take the TEAS now (they added that requirement for the 2026-2027 academic year) have decided to re-apply only to Sacramento, for Spring. SMU is a very well respected institution and I have many friends and family who were satisfied with their experiences. One B is certainly nothing to fret about. I know people who have gotten a B- in a pre-rec and still got accepted. Don't let it consume you! I recommend focusing on what you can control now: your personal statement, TEAS/HESI scores, any additional healthcare/work experiences/licensure, writing compellingly about your experiences in NursingCAS, and polishing your CV/resume. There's a lot of opportunity in the application to let yourself shine! One thing you have in your favor is that fall is the most competitive, so applying for Spring is a good choice. I wish you best of luck!
  2. I hear you! Especially since the job market is so tight in Sacramento. I know new grads who are unemployed 6-9 months after passing the NCLEX
  3. I'm on the waitlist, but admitted to another program that was able to give me a solid scholarship. Its going to be a tough decision if I get in...wishing you the best of luck in figuring out your plans.
  4. Congratulations to those who got off the waitlist! I'm crossing my fingers for the rest of us still on it.
  5. If you decide to reject, please let the SON know ASAP for the sake of others...I have had friends hold on to multiple grad school offers for no real reason, making people on the wailist for those schools wait anxiously till very late in the application season.
  6. Also waitlisted; was really hoping I would be able to end the admissions cycle now but I'll have to turn in apps to other programs. Wishing everyone the best of luck in getting into the program that's your best fit!
  7. Has anyone gotten any communication from the program since submitting their secondary app?
  8. Hi @Soph263, I am very sorry that there was an issue with your transcripts! I'm curious, what happened exactly? From what I understand, schools pull your completed and verified NursingCas application once everything is in. I too very sincerely hope you get full consideration; the admissions team has been very responsive to me in the past and I'm sure they'll do what they can to help. Good luck, and keep us posted!
  9. I'm telling myself we won't find out until Dec 23rd, the last day before the holiday. Definitely helps my impatience!
  10. 5 days left until the day we're likely to get first round decisions! Anyone else waiting?
