  1. I've been cruising this board, Reddit, DOL and DLSE, lately as well as discussions with multiple lawyers and my local labor commissioner. It seems many people feel ripped off working PPV due to not getting paid for travel time, scheduling, office runs, calls to providers, etc. Well, yeah, you've been ripped off (many of you). There have been many legal cases both federally and state level involving most the gripes we have with PPV and in the majority of them the employers lose. Generally all states have to pay travel time between clients (except first and last). States like California are much stricter in non productive time and travel time. If you'd like references, I can provide. If you'd like to research yourself, research Piece Rate law for your state (PPV is just a made up term for piece rate). In my area many agencies have moved quickly back to hourly amid labor law complaints (and losing/settling). Hope this helps.
