  1. Agree with Nurse Beth. We usually have DNR and DNI status over here in Canada to clarify the situation. I wonder if you have that as well there? Regardless, families tend to panic at the very last minute. The patient's wishes should be followed - and you can always call on an Ethicist or advocate for the patient's wishes. You will always learn something new with nursing - especially in the ER. Do not feel that lack of knowledge should make you feel uncomfortable. Keep a growth mindset - and you will start seeing learning as a challenge rather than something to shy away form.
  2. Sounds rough. I am not in Home Health - but I hope you do stick it out. We need more nurses in that field. Rooting for you ❤️
  3. Ontario has a healthcare crisis. A lot of our RNs are burnt out and are looking to go elsewhere or completely changing careers. My very human advise to anyone wanting to become an RN in Ontario is to pursue a different way to care/help people. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - just telling it how it is.
  4. Hi There ! I am new on here. I wanted to know any Ontario RNs that left the country to live in the U.S. successfully. What are the pros/cons ? What were your first steps and how are you doing now? Do you regret leaving?
