  1. Are you in-state or out of state? If you are not in-state, apply for Non-nursing tuition reduction on MHEC. If you are in-state apply for Workforce Shortage on MHEC. They have other grants for in-state residents and as long as you meet all the requirements they'd disburse funds till they run out. UMSON and UMB has scholarships that'd be open in January. Start planning for those cause they close up real quick. Truth is you might have to take loans, but you can bring down the amount you take out in loans. If you need extra support, you can send me a private message.
  2. So excited to see that everyone is preparing in their own way. Honestly, I am just trying to complete my last pre reqs(statistics) while working 3 jobs. Afterwards, I am going to take sometime off to rest. For financial aid, I am still waiting to hear from them, but I'd advice to make plans just incase you don't get the aid you want. Start working on activating you umaryland.edu email and compliance like vaccines and CPR (BLS ) if possible, so you can have a stress free Winter ?. If you're instate, your tuition is pretty okay but if you are out of state, make sure to apply for MHEC Tuition Reduction for Non-Resident Nursing Students if you're okay with working as a nurse in MD for 2 years after school. The annual award amount is the difference between the amount of tuition paid by an out of state student and the amount paid by an in state student at the same institution. I hope this helps someone.
  3. That's a lot. I wish you the best. Have you called the office of admission? I'd say try to call them to get an update.
  4. Thanks Ebere. You should get a decision from them soon. Praying for you.
  5. Congratulations to everyone ?. I applied July so I'm still waiting.
  6. Hi everyone! I just called and they will start sending decisions today through the end of the month. Fingers crossed for everyone :)
  7. I haven't heard anything yet and I doubt anyone has. We're looking to hear from them late September to early October.
  8. I called again too and they told me September. At this point, we might have to wait patiently for whenever they are ready to send out decisions.
