Hi yes! I'm an out of state BSN grad (no clinical experience in Cali). Graduated in May 2025 but licensed in Sept. I worked as an L&D PCT for a year during nursing school on a high acuity unit. I also had my final preceptorship on that same L&D unit. I have my Advanced NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWOHNN intro to fetal monitoring, and two of my three LORs were from my L&D preceptors. It's the only specialty I've ever wanted to work in so I worked super hard to get the experience, and I made it very clear during the interview process that I have knowledge in the field & that I'm extremely passionate about it. I definitely think my prior experience is what helped set me apart, but I've also applied to other hospital systems where people with less experience got interviews/jobs and I didn't (this was my first interview I landed). I think there's an aspect of luck depending on who you're up against & where you're applying. I truly wish the best for all of you guys!!

I got an offer! Praise Jesus!! My heart simultaneously is so upset for those that didn't get an offer. The recruiter told me that the unit decided to only hire two people instead of four, so it really is extremely competitive!! Sending love to everyone❤️

Still haven't heard anything! I'm anticipating calls to go out tomorrow around noon (give or take) since that's around when I got the calls for both interviews. But we'll see! I'm seriously praying for all of us-- for the four that will get hired, as well as the ones who don't. Not getting it after all of this time will be very upsetting. My heart is preemptively going out to whoever that is. We got this?

How did LDRP interviews go for everyone?

So strange, I didn't get it! My application says "complete" and I haven't gotten a rejection email yet. The recruiter had me under her LDRP pipeline after the info sesh & had the phone screen

What was the update email? I don't think I received it!

Oh also, to anyone that has interviewed... did you guys wear scrubs or did you wear business attire?

Were there any scenario questions? Or only typical interview Qs? Thank you so much!

My wound care & neuro/ortho applications now say "Completed" but I haven't heard anything. Anyone get interview updates?

I just checked, and I was rejected already as well. I have no idea why. I wouldn't say I'm the ~most~ competitive periop candidate, but I took a perioperative nursing clinical in the OR/PACU. I also had my final preceptorship in L&D which had tons of OR time. I was hoping I'd at least get an interview. Maybe it's a first come first serve thing? But even then, I applied within a couple hours of it being posted. Not sure, but definitely discouraging

How did it go? I'd love to hear as much as you're willing to share! Any questions, the number of questions, if there was any knowledge/scenario/case study Qs or if it was all typical interview type questions about you, etc. I'm hopeful I'll get an interview whenever they post more jobs, and I want to prepare as best as possible. She had mentioned that there was a delay in the system and it might show up late for some people. I was about to get on a 6 hour flight right when she sent the email, so I assumed it was the right one and frantically applied before take off. I should've checked again after I got off the flight, but I hit the ground running with work after getting home. I wish I realized sooner ?

Agh now I'm really worried I applied to the wrong one. The job title was "Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU" and didn't have "new grad" in the title. But there wasn't a new grad option listed in the job search for me?

My NICU application also says completed, but I haven't gotten a rejection email either. I applied Jan 2 around 2:30PM (after the recruiter sent an email saying it was posted). Hopefully that means I'm still in the running and hear good news tomorrow! But also I just realized the job I applied to has the job code "MIL004695" whereas the recruiter said the code was "MIL004823". When I applied, there were two NICU jobs posted that looked the exact same, and I only applied to one of them. But now I'm nervous that I applied to the wrong one? I'm not sure if it matters...

I got the same text last application cycle and it didn't lead to anything. I got it again this time, and I answered yes again. But to my knowledge it doesn't seem to lead anywhere :( I think it takes awhile for it to eventually update to not accepted (like after interviews/hiring is done). So technically still a chance, but I'm not counting on it as of now. I'm hopeful there will be another wave of reaching out for interviews, but so far I'm not too optimistic about that :(

Same, I didn't realize there were different links for the job listings. So bummed about it. At the info session, they said you need to have your notifications on so that you can apply immediately. I had mine on but wasn't notified. And I was looking in the wrong link so I was a couple hours late to the posting ?

Congrats on the interview! Would you mind sharing some of your experience? I'm external and applied to the OC locations. I wasn't able to apply until 7:30-8:00AM though. Trying not to get my hopes up just yet!

I'm hoping interviews actually come out by Dec 22 because I don't want us to still be monitoring our email on Christmas hahaha. And I doubt the hiring team would want to be sending out interview emails on Christmas... hopefully it wouldn't be after LOL
