@StephaniefutureNP Sorry thank you so much I didn't realize this posted on this post. I was responding to an another school post I had seen. For a school in my area it's weird it posted here. But I appreciate the insight I am thinking maybe I should until she gets older to but I don't want to wait to long and gets more expensive or I will not go. I got accepted into a school down here in my area called St Thomas they seem good but it's 2 classes/8 weeks and I don't have time for that due to my work schedule etc. but I like post because of the 1 class thing. How has the other classes taught you so far ? Did you have to purchase any books so far or is it all included ? Have you looked into a preceptor ? And unfortunately my job is going to be any easier they don't care if you tired drowning with patients maybe if I was a charge nurse it would be easier because all they do is sit at the desk

Hello everyone new here following this post. How has the program been for you guys? I know I'm years late but just ran across it. I'm in FL but got accepted to start with them next month so I will be taking my MSN to FNP classes how is manageable for A FT RN and I'm mom of 3 youngest is 1? Do you feel supported / given all the resources etc? What books should I purchase start studying ? I like this program seems they do 1/8 weeks which what I need due to informally being a single mom and I can't stop working I'm on a pretty intense floor ICU SD . Any information you guys wouldn't mind sharing books/study guides? I will really appreciate. I'm debating on them or look at another school in my area. But so far I am choosing them they cheaper then others and accredited which is what I need im already I'm a ton of debt just to pursue my nursing career a general.

Have a good evening thank you so much for your kind response. That gives me a little bit of comfort. I just was trying to see if the school is great. I see that they do two classes every seven weeks which is pretty accelerated. I just don't know if I will be able to manage all that along with being able to work full-time and manage my children the youngest being one how was your program as far as the resources and things that you received do you happen to have any Students Information or sources that you've used? Is it OK if I email you with the information that you left thank you so much.

Hello everyone I know this post is very old but just came across it. I am considering this program just submitted an application lastnight I am interested in doing the MSN to FNP program any insight will be great. I unfortunately a mom of 3 and working FT as a RN on Med Surg so I can stop working. But how is the balance of work school etc? Do you feel like the program gave you everything you needed to be successful ? And much more. What books etc /. Resources will I need? also how was it like finding a preceptor ? I will love some honest opinions. Before I proceeded further. I can be emailed or FB friends etc Please any advice will help Thank you. @ringtail @Kerry-love

@ProspectiveNP1 hi yes sorry I was saying was I had spoke to another student and she was saying how she is a member of Post but was saying that she was told that there was only one exam but learning from other students she was told that there's actually three that you have to pass in the whole nurse practitioner course. So she was looking to transfer out somewhere else. But I personally like that it's only one class for eight weeks. And then I liked that my clinicals is eight weeks as well, but I will only focus on clinicals one at a time. instead of trying to do both clinicals and my classes that's something that I cannot do because I still have the balance being a mom and also working a full-time so on Monday I'm gonna speak to another school that I have in mind but I just don't know why all these schools want you to write essays and recommendations and all this is ridiculous recommendation as to why you wanna go back to school like come on. but yes, that's true. That's definitely what I'm looking at. I don't wanna take on any more monthly payments with any school. I rather it just go in debt, but I'm already in so much debt from nursing school and medical assistant school that I really don't wanna take on any more debt but at the same time I do need to find my career in make more money for my bills down here in Florida is just ridiculously expensive

@ProspectiveNP1 yes I could see where you're coming from. I'm also the beginning between if I wanna start with them, I'm scheduled just talk to the financial aid advisor yesterday to start for September 15. But I'm just indecisive. I think I'm gonna call another school on Monday and look into another school in my area that seems to be a pretty good school as well. My only concern is I would have to take out a loan for the whole program of school unfortunately I do not qualify for any Pell grants so I'm trying to get something where I do not have to pay monthly to go to school along with my other expenses and kids. I am in Florida so it is very expensive down here. But I like that I was told that the clinicals are separate from the classes, which is good. I can focus on one thing at a time and for eight weeks just in rotation like when I start my clinical hours I just do my hours and work. I don't have to worry about doing school so that's what I like. But I also speaking to some other kids, they're saying that there's like 3APEA exams that was not mentioned. And what you would need to pass one of the exams you only get to try so if you don't pass, you do not get accepted into the NP Program. My only concern is let's say that since I'm completing my innocence into FNP with if I would be able to transfer my MSN credits to another school to obtain my masters, but I'm not sure if that's something that they allow so I'm going to call them on Monday to get more information. Or see if they will just give you your degree of having your masters at least instead of all your hard work going to waste if you're not able to pass the NP exams . I was told that it's only one to get into the actual program but now I'm hearing otherwise so I'm a little curious about that as well.

@DermNP2Be How did you like the program ? Was it easy to maintain the balance of home work life. I am very anxious if the school provide everything I need to be successful. And also want books/ websites etc did you use . I am suppose to start this month just for accepted 2 days ago. For the MSN to FNP program just curious on your thoughts? Thank you much

I am hesitate if they will provide me all the resources I need to graduate etc. I have to keep working FT and being a single mom of 3. Youngest just turned 1 so I know I will be very busy trying balance everything. But I prefer 1 class at a time. Only thing I am worried about is my clinicals due to being accepted for the MSN to FNP. Was wondering if I she just find a school and do my innocent first but for the amount of money that it would take for me to do my MS and I'm not as well just do them combined. If you can share any information with me as far as Resources / books things like that to help you do the classes in the assignment I would greatly appreciated. @ChristineS2004 Hello I saw your post regarding the school Post university . I just got accepted into the program but very hesitate if you can please share some tips and thoughts . On the program it will be a blessing I am suppose to start this month. I want to see if they give me all the resources I need along with the work to maintain a single mom and working FT RN. Hello Guys @SunshinePMHNP2026 & @ProspectiveNP1 I am suppose to start this month but still deciding if I should look at another school.unfortunately I am a FT RN beside so I do not have time to really sit etc. I also am worried about managing all my schools along with the personal life of being a mom of 3. I just got accepted 2 days ago in the program. Maybe we can help each other study etc or see what school will be benefit for us.

Hello everyone considering signing up to start within the September 2025 school year to do MSN to FNP I'm based in FL. How was the classes? Managing a FT Role as an RN along with 3 young children I am nervous regrading my CLINICALS. Any advice ? Please also any books/ resources I can use I am nervous they said I have to take an APEA Exam And just don't know what to expect and if it will be manageable. I like they have 1 class at a time just curious on how to do it.

Hello following this Page. I'm looking to start with them in November. Does anybody have any information that they like to share regarding how the classes are my main thing is being able to balance a full-time role as a nurse and also being a full-time mother thank you for your help. Some of the reps came to my school last week and that's what made me look into getting into the school. I'm going for my MSN to FNP just really worried about trying to balance the clinical hours along with working.

Hello everyone, New here looking to start at West Coast University and the Miami location I'm currently in Florida but mostly will be online. Has anyone went through the program? If so, how did you fill? The program was/did you get all the materials that you need/what was it like as far as hours for assignments and also working I'm currently a single mom of 3 so I want to see if this will be something for me to be able to balance working full-time as in RN . I would love to be completing the program fast but I am leaning towards a 32 month option versus the 20 month because I'm not sure how much the load. With that I don't want to get in a jam and fail/repeat courses thank you. I am debating on just doing my masters to NP or just taking my masters first any suggestion suggestions will be a great help? Also worried about having to go offsite out of state to Texas to complete two mandatory visits. The tuition seems to be very expensive which I don't have a problem doing. I just wanna make sure that I'm going into a good program and I will get everything that I need they seem to have good reviews, but I did hear that the program can be very intense.
