They did. 40 students per incoming class. 20 full-time, and approximately 20 from the previous year that were part-time.

Happy Interview Season, Everyone! To answer one of the most pressing questions, Pitt admits 40 students per class. These acceptances consist of 20 full-time students and 20 part-time students, who eventually go on to enroll full-time the following year. I'm sure y'all will be notified of whether you've accepted or not by mid-July (based on past trends). Congratulations! I wonder how many others may be holding out for another offer.

I believe it is 40 FT and 20PT slots. And yes we would take courses as PT students, the amount of credits I am not sure.

Nice! Do you have any idea how the online class structure will be? How many credits it is per semester? Cost? I filled out my FAFSA today, tried to call admission office but no success.

We have 43 people in the UPitt FB group, 9 of which are Part-Time, so far. Kinda hard to tell. Are you FT?

FAFSA will totally cover part-time classes, living expense, books, supplies, etc. We sorta lucked out because we get to take out Grad Plus loans before they are eliminated on July 1, 2026 because of the (not so) Big Beautiful Bill that just passed in Congress. There is wording in it that says once you've taken any Grad Plus loans for school before that date, you'll be 'grandfathered' into it, and so you'll still benefit from getting those loans until you've completed the program, but within the new limits that were set. Fortunately for us, UPitt isn't one of the more expensive schools and our expenses should fall within the new limits.

I was also wondering the same thing since we are going to complete some credits before starting full-time. I strongly suspect Dec 2029, I may be wrong though. Let me know if you get a more solid answer. Also, I will shoot you a DM.

Currently located in the midwest but will be heading back the east coast to work full-time and be with family and friends until I have to relocate to PA. Will likely establish residency in PA before Jan 2027 though. It would be good if we had a part-time FB group too. Also, can't travel because I love having stable health insurance and a check just because ?

With this part-time offer, I am grateful that I get the freedom to work and rack up a lot of coins before full-time enrollment. That, and I also get to complete some credit hours in the first year, so I am suspecting a lighter course load when I start full-time, get to move to Pittsburgh for a year, and take advantage of the in-state tuition cost. Win-win in my book! Wishing you full-timers luck with the excitement plus stress of moving in a short time.

You have to look for admissions on the left side of the screen, then pay your deposit there.

Has any part-timers received an official offer letter and a Pitt email setup as yet?

It was implied to me over a phone call with someone from the school that if full-time spot open up, they would move up part-timers, also a full-time student can request to go part-time, and so on or so forth... so I guess they'd make those on a "waitlist" part-time if a spot opens?

The excitement from you guys is palpable ?. I am here refreshing my inbox to hopefully see if they've sent me an official offer/Pitt email link.

I am leaning heavily to accept my part-time offer.

I also got a part-time offer about 4:30 CT . I am not sure exactly how it logistically works, I know online classes start Jan 2026, we get an academic advisor, but kinda clueless about anything else. How many classes do we take per semester? Which cohort do we graduate with? Does it make sense to even accept another full-time offer that starts next year Aug/Sept or take this one? Do I even accept an offer from a lower ranking school that starts in Jan 2026? I honestly welcome all opinions to chime in. Congratulations to everyone again!

Yeah, they are still reviewing mine. If placed on a wait list, how likely is one to get admitted ?
