  1. Thank you so much for this! I have been looking into SFSU and CSU Stan's ABSN programs and have heard great things about the program. Nursing will always be a highly impacted major, especially at any public schools. Additionally, I have retaken stats and that has boosted my GPA. After my previous rejections, I have learned that things don't always go as planned and it is up to me to improve myself.
  2. Thank you so much for your advice and honesty! I have been working and have money saved up. As for the ABSN programs I have been looking into, they are nowhere near as expensive compared to private institutions, well at least the ones that I have applied to. Also, I apologize for my last statement being vague and unclear. It's not really that I cannot afford (might have to take out some loans), I just don't think it's worth paying 100k+ for a BSN. Thank you!
  3. Nope, I just applied to CCSF randomly because I saw it was still open. I am an upcoming 4th year student at a CSU. I was waitlisted by the nursing program at the school that I am currently attending and just decided to switch majors, finish up my undergrad, get more patient care hours and apply to an ABSN and EL-MSN? Don't mean to brag or anything but I got accepted to 3 private universities last semester to start Spring 2025, but I do not have the money to go and I sadly had to pass on the offer. Also, congratulations on getting into CCSF! Wishing you and everyone the best??
  4. Nahh I straight up got rejected the first time ? I got the rejection letter on May 6th
  5. I emailed them on May 9th and one of the faculty responded on May 12th. When I got my rejection letter, they listed the names of the nursing faculty at the bottom. First, I emailed the ccsf nursing email about the lottery selection on May 6th, but did not get a response. So then I found the emails of the faculty on the ccsf nursing website and forwarded my previous email to each of them and got a response. Hope this helps and wishing you and the rest that are on the waitlist the best?
  6. Also, just curious but has anyone who was denied at first get called to be on the waitlist or even accepted? I emailed them a while back, and they said it was still a possibility ?
  7. Congrats!! The waiting must've been suspenseful ??
  8. Good luck and wishing you guys the best? I emailed the nursing department last Tuesday to inquire about the selection process, specifically how the lottery system works but haven't gotten a response. When did you guys contact them?
  9. I see. Good luck and wishing the best for you? And getting called even after getting rejected is definitely a miracle. Manifesting this type of luck? Also, when they sent out the rejection letter, they didn't do it individually and you could see all of the people they sent it to, which is odd but I'm guessing there was around 250-300 people that didn't get in cause it was a really long list. Congrats!?
  10. Hello all! For those still on the waitlist, have you guys heard back yet? (if you don't mind me asking).
  11. Yooo OMG that's so good? Are you an undergrad or post-bacc? Also, have you heard back from them? I emailed the nursing dept. to inquire about their admissions process and how the lottery system works, but haven't got a response.
  12. Yooo congratulations and good luck ? I am just going to finish up my undergrad degree, gain more patient care experience and apply to an ABSN or EL-MSN program after grad. I applied to several CSU's last semester and either got rejected or waitlisted. I did get into USFCA (sac campus) and Simpson University to start Spring semester of this year, but the tuition is just rlly expensive and I am trying my best to avoid taking out massive student loans. Hopefully everything works out in the end. I am wishing you and everyone else the best on their nursing journey ??
  13. Also, do you guys happen to know how the lottery system works? Usually, schools with a lottery don't have a waitlist from what I heard. Since CCSF does both systems, I was just curious and wanted to know how that works. I emailed the nursing department but haven't gotten a response yet so I was wondering if you guys knew.
  14. Your guy's stats are amazing. I feel like you guys would've definitely gotten into a CSU programs with those stats. I am currently a third year at a CSU and have a 3.7 overall as of right now, 3.62 pre-req, 89.2 TEAS, and 100 volunteer hrs so I knew I wasn't going to get in based on merit ... was hoping to get in through the lottery ? I remember someone got into the program and did not past their TEAS exam from last year's or 2023's thread. If you guys don't mind me asking, what are your guy's plan?
