  1. I am a 39 yo female that has been under investigation with the Alabama board of nursing since June of 2024. I guess you would classify with I did as falsifying documentation. I was working with a home health company. I had been moved to a new area and the patients I was working with were very spread out. I had a hard time getting the patient load during the working hours and I wasn't really able to work much over time due to kids and home responsibilities. And I kept getting more and more added to me bc I couldn't tell my boss no (she is my best friend) even tho I would complain and tell her it was too much I would always end the conversation with I got it I'll figure it out. Bc she also had a lot on her plate. And I ended up charting visits on patients while I was at home taking care of things I had to do there. I know it doesn't make anything any better but I never did this on a patient that had wound care or was in poor health status. And I being who I am when asked by the board of nursing if I had anything to add I just replied no I did what they are saying I did. But hell I did. And I'm sure it doesn't help that I have a previous mark against my nursing license due to something that happened in my first year of nursing. Now it's getting close to being the 1 year mark of all this under investigation stuff and everytime I reach out to the board I just get the same answer. It's under investigation. That's it. They won't answer any other question. I have not had a job since last June either. I honestly can say I haven't even really tried to get a nursing job bc I just kept thinking who would hire me. With being under this investigation and such. I also have to report any nursing jobs I apply for and such with the board. I just honestly don't know what to do. I had reached out to a friend of mine that is now the Nurse Manager at our local rural hospital that I worked at for the first 6 years of my career and she was like they won't even take your application with you being under investigation. Now when I look at my license online there isn't anything that even states I have anything going on with the board. Everything is as it should be. Just any advice would be much appreciated.
