  1. Thank you for clarifying! I did notice this and just hit 15 posts, so I think can DM now.
  2. RE: books - I paid for the online book package on Wolters Klewer or whatever it was - that was definitely more than I was expecting but it did say that it's all the books for the whole program, so I'm hoping we don't need to buy any others. I did pick up most of the other recommended ones too.
  3. It won't let me DM you but I'll figure it out or maybe I just have to wait. IDK
  4. Do you have to attend the orientation just in case space opens up? Or did your email not say anything about a mandatory orientation?
  5. I had mine yesterday, same questions. Really just verifying some info and asking if there was anything we didn't get to say or wanted to add on the application - maybe like special life circumstances or situations? She said she thought we'd hear within a week or so, but she wasn't positive. I'm guessing by the end of next week? Did anyone hear any differently?
  6. I don't think it's decided yet. This isn't an acceptance email, it just seems to be a step to maybe verify all the info in your application and meet you in person and then they'll make decisions later...? The appointments are only 15 minutes or so.
  7. I don't know if they ever gave dates but I've been thinking mid-Nov to mid-Dec. Just guessing that it's in the same general range as the others like ELAC and LAVC...?
  8. Got mine! Looks like it's just whether you're eligible or ineligible. Also it looks like they've updated their website and that maybe next application period they're doing criteria AND lottery...
  9. Yes, I can't remember what my total points were but: Science GPA: 4.0 Overall GPA: 3.5 TEAS: 92.7% Previous BA CNA license Volunteer Hrs Spanish speaker
  10. I haven't gotten anything yet. I know they're supposed to send a status email sometime between now and October 10. I'm religiously checking my CoC emails...
  11. Hey y'all, just starting this discussion here for anyone who applied to CoC for Spring 2026. They're really clear on the website about timelines but just wanted to hop on here to connect as we wait it out!
  12. Hey Lexi, I'm just wrapping up some of my prereqs and am applying to programs for a Spring start (cross your fingers for me!). For me personally, I'm not sure if the kind of laptop matters as much as if you have a good program/system that works for you for note taking and homework. I crammed in microbio, anatomy and physiology in shorter sessions (8 wks and 5 wks) and my iPad & pencil (with Notability or GoodNotes) was absolutely invaluable for me. I watched lectures and other videos like Amoeba Sisters, Dr. Mike and Science with Susanna on my laptop but took all my notes on my iPad. But being able to take pictures of the whiteboard in lab, record the professor's audio (and auto transcription!) in class and write notes on the PDFs from class made a huge difference for me being able to retain and revisit info. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but I relied far more heavily on my iPad than I did my laptop. I took tests and quizzes on my laptop but most of my studying, notes, etc was on my iPad.
