Navy Nurse Corps 2024-2025
Anybody going to ODS in November? I just got my orders. They had a spot open up so my detailer called and put me in.

Anybody have any further updates with ODS? I just received my first duty station (verbal through email) orders but no hard copies yet and no ODS date.

Update: So that others can have an estimated timeline while reading through these posts, I got a call yesterday saying my commission was approved. My recruiter said that I should receive an official letter by next week, receive my oath to office in about 3 weeks to a month, and during that timeframe, someone will call me to talk to me about available ODS seats. Good luck everyone!

@PsychTristan I noticed emails a week after my recruiter told me they were starting the credentialing process. I got 4 consecutive emails. One from the credentialing processor basically telling me that they're starting the process, and the next 3 were to my references with me CC'd on it. Two of my references responded the same day and my last reference was having trouble getting the email so it was a whole bunch of back and forth from my reference to the processor for the next 2-3 weeks. Then once my last reference responded, I got an email from the processor a week later saying that my credentialing process has been completed.

@PsychTristan The credentialing process for me took less than a month. They actually gave me a month deadline and it included contacting my references and having them respond to their emails/calls. They would email your references and CC you on it and I had to stay on top of it by contacting my references on the side to remind them to respond.

@MGDREW Thanks for the heads up. Luckily, I still have my type 3s from when I was enlisted and they all still fit great. After I separated active duty, I went in to the Reserves for a bit. And before I separated from the Reserves, I made sure to claim all my free seabag uniforms. If anything, I'll just have to purchase my whites and blues once I get back in.

@bj_flightnurse Thats what my recruiter was telling me. He also told me this past Friday that this previous board that took place in March/April would be the last push the Navy will be accepting because the Navy will be meeting their Quotas for RNs. He told me that if my package doesn't get accepted/approved, I'll have to wait until October to resubmit when the new fiscal year starts.

@Charles Acas Nothing yet. My Recruiter said that they get updates every Friday. I've been following up with him 2-3 times a week, especially on Fridays, to see if there were any results but unfortunately, nothing yet.

Hey all, I'm in the same boat as well so I found it relieving reading all of your posts. I'm also prior Navy Corpsman of 10 years, got out and decided to pursue nursing school. Graduated Oct. 2024, passed my NCLEX about a week after. Started the commissioning paperwork with my recruiter about March 2024, got my package submitted after passing boards (Nov '24), it got kicked back in December d/t a minor discrepancy (one of my professional job start dates on my resume was about a week off from my actual background date). My recruiter resubmitted my package on January 15th (merely missing deadline by a few hours so it didn't get pushed forward until February. Got word toward mid March saying it passed the review and being forwarded to board and I still haven't heard anything yet. The process had been nothing off from the typical "Hurry up and wait" theme. I anticipated this from the Navy so I accepted a job as an ED RN while waiting. Still waiting to hear if I made selection, hopefully I get it. My recruiter says that I should be hearing news by end of April to first week of May. This process has been quite the drag.
